GDPR - what this means for school and what it means for your data

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) legislation came into effect on 25th May 2018.  This runs along side the Data Protection Legislation to protect how data is used and stored.

The school is working on policies and procedures around the legislation to ensure compliance and is supported by a Local Authority representative Syeda Ahmed who is the Data Protection Officer for the school - contact number 024 7697 7658.

If you would like to access data that school holds please complete the Subject Access Request form and return to the school office for processing.

If you would like to read through the General Data Protection regulations Privacy Notice regarding the information and data we keep and process, why we keep it and what we do with it, a copy can be accessed below.

The school has a combined Data Protection and GDPR Policy, which was agreed at Resources Governors on 21 May 2018 and can be accessed below.

We have delivered the messages to children about their data and what this means in a child friendly way during a whole school assembly on GDPR for Children.  We will repeat this yearly, you can see the content of the slides below.
